Indian Head Massage
Let this traditional Indian massage technique soothe away your stress and rejuvenate your body and mind.
It is estimated that today around 80% of the rural population of India still use Head Massage. Even in the cities, you can see the massage man in the square with his mat and oils relieving the stress of passers-by.
It is said that a Head Massage is actually a massage of the whole body as it helps all the separate systems of the body to function correctly.
The respiratory, circulatory, endocrine, muscular, skeletal and lymphatic systems are all helped through the stimulation and relaxation brought by Head Massage.
Head Massage also plays an important role in helping the body to expel toxins, which cleanses and maintains the health of the physical body. It also excites the body’s internal resources, stimulating the proper processing of proteins, the conversion of various forms of sugar into glucose and also the production of chemical enzymes necessary for us to function normally.

| Indian Head Massage is given right from birth in India. Throughout the first months of its life, a new baby will have a cloth soaked in nourishing oils placed over the soft spot on top of the head to help ensure optimal brain function and eyesight. Mothers also massage the head, face, neck and shoulders to enhance the effects. |
What to expect during a Treatment...
On your first visit, your therapist will take a brief consultation. This is to establish anything the therapist needs to be aware of, such as allergies and any other contra-indications for massage.
The massage itself is done with you sat in a specially designed chair.
During the treatment, your back and neck are massaged first, followed by your shoulders and the tops of your arms.
Your facial and cranial pressure points are then stimulated during massage of your head and face.
This is a stimulating, yet deeply soothing treatment which will help you to relax your body and mind.
